The NUJ, in cooperation with other unions in the creative and entertainment industries, is running in Autumn 2009 a series of one-day training courses for members in useful subject areas. Courses take place in the following cities:
- Birmingham
- Bristol
- Leeds
- London
- Newcastle.
The courses are on the following subjects:
- Copyright for Creatives
- Freelance Survival Guide
- Networking via the web
- Build your own website.
They are tailored, specific and relevant. Each one costs £25 to members – the market value is normally around £200+ for such training. They are heavily subsidised due to Union Learning Fund money.
