The latest branch newsletter went out yesterday. I forgot to include on the agenda for next week’s meeting a discussion about running more courses here in Paris. (See Alison Culliford’s article in the newsletter.) let us know what you think.
Meanwhile, as I did mention in the newsletter, the branch is lining up an exciting array of guest speakers this year. In February John Chapman of the Brussels branch who is the continent of Europe’s representative on the union’s freelance industrial council will be present to hear from our freelance members what the key concerns are. Come along and let John know.
March will be our AGM as usual.
At the April meeting, you’ll have a chance to meet the new editor of The Journalist, Christine Buckley. The former Times industrial editor who was elected to the post in November, says she wants to hear from us about what we want in our magazine. Let’s tell her.
At the May meeting, this year’s president Pete Murray will be the guest. I haven’t suggested a topic to Peter yet so suggestions are welcome.
